At Giorgio Armani Privé, the makeup artists took over the models with a wash of gray, taking a cue from the brands Fall 2012 couture collection. Makeup artist Linda Cantello conceived for models a straight brow that blended into the hairline. “It’s kind of medium-toned, between black and gray. It’s not a smoky eye at all,” she said backstage before the fashion show on Tuesday. “It’s a wash of gray.”
Hairstylist Franco Gobbi created glossy waves, which were bound back and swirled into a bun-like form with one swath left loose.
“It’s kind of ocean waves” is how he described the undulations, adding the idea was to have light play off them.
