Olympic Inspired

The Olympics are in full swing, and I just couldn't resist this gold liner look. Would you 'go for the gold' in this sense?

Oatmeal in Jars

So the cool thing to do is find recipes on Pinterest and #DIY, and that is just what I did. I found this neat 'oatmeal in jars' recipe to make a weeks worth of breakfast in 5 minutes, and this sure does come in handy if you're anything like me in the mornings.
Check out this yummy treat and make a week of steel-cut oats in 5 Minutes

You'll need:
4 cups water
Large pinch salt
Milk or soy milk
Cinnamon or other spices
Raisins or other dried fruit
Walnuts or other nuts
Jam
Honey
Large saucepan
Ladle
Instructions

Ingredients1 2/3 cups steel-cut oats
Equipment5 pint-sized Mason jars with lids (I used wide-mouth jars)
1. Collect your jars and other equipment. I like pint-sized jars for this as they allow a little more room for adding nuts, raisins, and milk later. But you can also use half-pint jars.
2. Bring the oats, water and salt to a boil. Simmer for about 3 minutes then turn off the heat.
3. Ladle the oats and water into the jars. Cover the jars tightly with their caps and rings. Leave on the counter overnight. (This is how I make my oatmeal and I have had absolutely no problems with it, healthwise, but if for some reason you are not comfortable leaving hot oatmeal out overnight, you can also refrigerate the jars. The oatmeal won't be quite as well cooked in the morning; it will be a thinner, less creamy oatmeal. But it will still be fine.)
4. The next morning, put all but one of the jars in the refrigerator. Take the cap off one jar and stir up the oatmeal inside. Microwave for 2 to 3 minutes, or until quite hot. Add any milk, raisins, or other mix-ins. Enjoy!

Feel like a million with Million Dollar Tan

Being Italian is not the secret to my sunkissed, summer tan look.  The real trick behind it all? It's Million Dollar Tan, and I'm oh so glad I came across this one, because it is now, truly a must have item in my beauty cabinets!
I am not one with time to 'lay out' and get 'some color', and personally, am not one who wants to sit out in the sun, getting all sweaty, sucking in all those UVA, UVB, and whatever else type of bad rays are coming down on us.  That's why I use regularly use Million Dollar Tan. This is a healthy way to tan and the most healthy tan look I've ever witnessed on myself! Not only does it look AMAZING, natural, and creates a deep dark tan, but most importantly it looks as if I did lay out on the beach all day soaking up those rays.
I was given the Icon Sunless Tanning Spray, and when I say application was easy, it really can't get more simpler.  Just spray the self tanner on and rub in and blend with the brush that is provided
What I really loved and thought was a genuine and cute idea was in my package, there was a note of 3 ways to apply the Million Dollar Tan. You may apply by sprtizing on skin and blending with the brush provided, you may apply by spraying the sunless tan product into your favorite daily moisturizer, or lastly, you may spritz on the blending brush and blend into skin.
I really love this product, plus it smells amazing too, makes me feel like I'm sitting on a tropical island sipping pina coladas! Grab this item and take a vacation straight from your home, you'll look, feel, and even smell like you just came from a day at the beach! Enjoy.xx

Armani Privé, A Wash of Gray

At Giorgio Armani PrivĂ©, the makeup artists took over the models with a wash of gray, taking a cue from the brands Fall 2012 couture collection. Makeup artist Linda Cantello conceived for models a straight brow that blended into the hairline. “It’s kind of medium-toned, between black and gray. It’s not a smoky eye at all,” she said backstage before the fashion show on Tuesday. “It’s a wash of gray.”
Hairstylist Franco Gobbi created glossy waves, which were bound back and swirled into a bun-like form with one swath left loose.
“It’s kind of ocean waves” is how he described the undulations, adding the idea was to have light play off them.

Subtle Patriotic Statements

July 4th, a day to celebrate and recognize a country known for its fanatical patriotism.  This is exemplified subtly in the 125 Magazine ‘Old Glory’ spread, shot by Paul Farrell for 125 Magazine’s ‘America’ issue.  Rather than the typical stars and stripes, check out the inspirational series of creative beauty looks, including artistically painted lips and adorning exaggerated eyelashes.

Stylishly Sweaty

Bet you never thought you'd hear those two words in the same sentence, stylishly sweaty, but yup, there you have it. The we hair and dewy look on model Becca B. is rather stunning in a...well beautiful, and stylish way. Stormy skies, blue lakes, and a gorgeous brunette beauty really stands out in a minimal kind of way.

The looks styled by Caroline Johansson are nothing but unforgettable, the way she pulls the pieces together pieces from Weekday, Ivan Grundahl and Filippa K...complete effortless and chic.
