BRA-ha-HA
day off, time to pumpkin pick!
Select a pumpkin that is completely orange. NO, I want a purple one. duhhhh
Do not pick a pumpkin that is too big for you to carry, especially if you have back problems. NO Words. .
Do not lift or carry a pumpkin by it's stem. The pumpkin stem gives it character.
If you are out in the pumpkin patch picking a pumpkin:
Wear boots or old sneakers. It could be wet and muddy in the pumpkin patch. Oh shucks, I wanted to wear my suede wedges. boo hoo
Bring a sharp knife or pruner. UM why?

LV & Parsons
I’m talking about the Parsons school of Design pairing up with Luis Vuitton for Reconstruction 2.0. A competition where design students compete using deconstructed pieces by Louis Vuitton Artistic Director and Parsons alumnus Marc Jacobs and recreate conceptual installations that address the rich heritage of the Louis Vuitton brand.
Scissors, sewing machines, sketchbooks and fabric dye, this is what the six teams of students worked with in preparation for their competition. At Louis Vuitton Soho, student teams developed their pieces at work stations set up amidst the retail counters and store displays, while shoppers and passersby got a firsthand look at the creative process.
Photos: Assunta Catalano
With bubbly and fancy hors d’oeuvres, I enjoyed my time seeing the designed pieces, the creative students behind it, and of course seeing Patricia Field, whom I captured a candid photo of, but will not post unless NEEDED because it is not the best of all photos. Let’s just say, its extremely candid.

H.Stern’s Latest Jewelry Line Inspired by Brazilian Dance Troupe
What world world-famous jewelry line is known for modern and expressive designs, but has gone one step further by creating a collection inspired by the exquisite movement and dramatic choreography of Grupo Corpo, an internationally recognized dance group based in Brazil? Well that would be H. Stern.
Both South American brands focus on unique creativity and craftsmanship, which is clearly brought to life in this partnership. With a a jewelry collection made up of 60 innovative pieces in gold, diamonds and colored gemstones and exudes the movement, you really see the inspiration; the balance and energy demonstrated on stage by the actual performers.
The H.Stern+Grupo Corpo collection launched exclusively at H.Stern’s New York and Miami boutiques in September with prices ranging from $790 to $50,000. For more information, go to hstern.net.
Here are my favorites from the new collection.
