Lucille Ball's Classic Style

Whether it were a checker print or polka dot print, Lucille Ball’s fashion sense was as classy as her acts on the I Love Lucy show. This past Saturday, August 5th, was the 100th birthday of Ms. Lucille Ball. After reminiscing about her Vita-Meata-Vegamin skit and the famously known chocolate factory scene, swooning over her sophisticated style comes naturally. Always classic, the elements of her outfits seemed flawless nonetheless, wearing elements such as sheer fabrics, lace, and sweetheart necklines, it’s amazing how on trend these are at the moment.

Amy Winehouse: Style Icon

Karl Lagerfeld used her as inspiration for the Paris-Londres Maison d'Art show in London in 2007, saying at the time, "She's a style icon. She's not only a muse; she's a genius. She's one of the greatest voices today." Lady Gaga tweeted over the weekend, "Amy changed pop music forever, I remember knowing there was hope, and feeling not alone because of her. She lived jazz, she lived the blues." Lily Allen once accused her voice of being fake, but upon news of her death, tweeted, "Its just beyond sad, there's nothing else to say. She was such a lost soul, may she rest in peace."

Amy Winehouse may not have been the most polished of "style icons," but she had an aesthetic and she was loyal to it. Beehive Doo-wop hair, intense cat eye, 50s inspired rockabilly meets demure clothing – it was all Amy, it was all real, and it left an indelible mark. She will be missed and the world of music lost a light.

Megan Fox in New Giorgio Armani Beauty Ad

Megan Fox rubs me the wrong way...yeah sure, she's hot, but her thumb is just gross, plain just grosses me out man. Have you ever seen that thing...seriously go Google it, Megan Fox's thumb ---it's like a man thumb.

Anyways, no thumb talk, since she was kicked off from the Transformers 3 movie, she had free time, and she, haha, didn't want to twiddle her thumbs. Ok, I'll stop! She had the opportunity to be an a hot new ad for Giorgio Armani's Summer 2011 Beauty campaign. The actress looks sultry, pushing out a plump pout for the camera to catch, as well as those crystal blue eyes. She also serves as the face of the brand's fragrance, Armani Code. She's previously modeled for Emporio Armani's womens underwear and their jean ads this past year. Watch her roll around and put some lipstick on her smackers during the spot for Giorgio Armani Beau.

elle fanning in the new marc by marc jacobs ads

After featuring a young Dakota Fanning in an ad in 2007 and following it with a suggestive Lola perfume ad in 2011, the designer has picked her younger sister Elle Fanning to star in the new fall campaign for his diffusion line Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Elle is in a printed red dress paired with patent boots and a red leather tote. She stands against a gray brick wall with the wind blowing her hair across her face.
